Who We Are
Solidago is the Latin name for the Nebraska state flower, the goldenrod; it also means “to complete or to make whole.”
Solidago Conservancy works with public and private partners and local families to expand greenways throughout our community, connecting people to natural spaces.
The rich mosaic of open spaces we enjoy today is the result of decades of collaborative work. Solidago Conservancy is building on that legacy and providing leadership to develop a “greenprint”of connected landscapes for our community to enjoy today and into the future. Land preservation is accomplished through a voluntary, incentive-based approach with interested landowners, often through land purchases and conservation agreements.
Solidago is affiliated with Lincoln Parks Foundation, which works in partnership with the City of Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department to help keep our parks vibrant and accessible for generations to come.
Solidago Conservancy also partners with a wide range of organizations and agencies dedicated to protecting the region’s special places. These partnerships have provided expertise and resources to help us accomplish and expand our work.
